He was born in Butler, and his works include <em>Starship Troopers, Stranger in a Strange Land, <\/em>and<em> The Moon is a Harsh Mistress.<\/em> Heinlein received more than 10,000 votes,&#8221; the <a style=\"color: #336699; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kansascity.com\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">Kansas City Star<\/a> said of Heinlein being one of the 2013 recipients of this honor.<\/p>\n<p>The Heinlein Society campaigned for this, and is very pleased with the support and votes Robert A. Heinlein received.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Wonderful news! &nbsp;A fine Christmas present!&#8221; was the reaction of the trustees of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.heinleinprize.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Heinlein Prize Trust<\/a>, Heinlein&#8217;s literary estate.<\/p>\n<p>A fan in Russia, hearing of the honor, said, &#8220;It really is a wonderful event!
